A realignment of Chrysler Group LLC's powertrain division includes the appointment of a new chief from Fiat SpA.
Paolo Ferrero becomes senior vice president of Chrysler Powertrain. He comes from Fiat Powertrain Technologies, where he was vice president of product engineering. Chrysler Group is a partnership with Fiat, and small engines is one area of expertise the Italian automaker brings to the alliance.
All powertrain operations are being unified under Ferrero, who reports directly to Chrysler Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne. The new powertrain division is responsible for engine manufacturing, testing and quality globally and working with the automaker's vehicle engineering group.....More
