Chrysler To Begin Selling Fiat Subcompact In January
DETROIT (Dow Jones)--Chrysler Group LLC plans to introduce the Fiat 500 subcompact in the U.S. market in January and hopes to sell 50,000 of them in 2011, three people briefed on the auto maker's plans said.
The U.S. version of the Fiat 500 will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November and will be positioned as a direct competitor to BMW's (BMW.XE) Mini, according to these people, who did not want to be identified since the briefing is not public.
